Proposals PostNL for new collective labour agreement set out in letter to trade unions

The Hague - PostNL welcomes this morning’s announcement that three out of four trade unions have decided to continue the negotiations for a new collective labour agreement (CLA). PostNL also calls on the fourth trade union, FNV, to participate in the negotiations, in the interest of the employees and the company, and to refrain from actions. The next appointment is scheduled for next Wednesday.

Today, PostNL sent its proposals for the new CLA in a letter (available in Dutch on our website) to all four participants (trade unions BVPP, FNV, CNV and VHP2), with a focus on four central themes:

  • More people to be employed directly by PostNL
  • More jobs and certainty
  • As much job certainty as possible for employees
  • Sustainable employability

Other topics are, among others, tailor-made labour conditions, the personal budget for individual choices, education and development, pensions, compensation for commuting, equal compensation for men and women and wage development.

Again, PostNL has called on FNV to refrain from actions that would impact clients. Discussions are ongoing, focused on issues that are important for our employees. The aim is to further strengthen the position of PostNL as the favorite deliverer in the Netherlands, as a social-responsible employer and as a company in good financial health. Our proposals match these aims and take into account the interests of all our stakeholders.
