Due to yesterday’s slippery conditions in the northern part of the country, your mail and parcels may take a bit longer to arrive.

On Wednesday 4 February, a code red came into effect in the northern provinces. As a result we suspended deliveries there as it was simply not safe for our delivery personnel to go out on the streets. As soon as the situation allows and we’re able to guarantee the safety of our employees, we will resume delivery.

Please be aware that a code red in one area of the country may impact delivery in other regions as well.

What measures are we taking?

  • We are following the weather situation closely and adjusting operations wherever necessary.
  • We are resuming delivery if conditions allow us to do so safely.
  • As always, funeral mail and medical deliveries will be delivered on a priority basis.
  • Any backlog will be cleared as quickly as possible once conditions have improved sufficiently.
