Extra peace of mind when you send a (small) parcel anywhere in the world
Need proof of sending and receiving? You can now also send your small parcel abroad by registered mail. The (small) parcel is personally delivered at the door, after the recipient has signed for delivery. You can choose to insure a small* parcel for €50 or a regular parcel for €100 and €500.
Drop off your parcel at a PostNL location. Save a lot of time by labelling and paying your shipment online. Just scan the digital barcode when you are ready to send your mail. For a parcel outside the EU, you need to complete and include a customs form. You can request a form from the employee at the PostNL location. Are you franking online? Then you will automatically be shown the form. Complete the form online. No printer? We will print your shipping label and any required customs forms.
What if we cannot deliver the parcel to the recipient? Once the parcel is abroad, the other country's postal service will take over delivery. It varies by country and postal service how many delivery attempts are made. This depends on the agreements that have been made with a country. If you have any questions about this, please contact the postal service of the country in question.
You can send a registered (small) parcel from as little as €10.50. The rate depends on the shipment's destination, size and weight. View all rates
Exceptions: Always use insured mail when sending money and cheques abroad. These items are not eligible for compensation if you send them abroad by registered mail. Regardless of the value.
If your parcel can not be delivered, it will be returned to you automatically and free of charge, both within and outside the Netherlands.

*A small package is max. 2 kg and L x W x H is max. 90 cm with the longest side max. 60 cm (the size of a shoe box). A letterbox package also fits inside here.
